Binance’s AI NFT generator gets overwhelmed by requests within an hour of launch
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, popularly known as ‘CZ,’ announced the launch of the beta version of an artificial intelligence (AI) generator of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), Bicasso, on March 1.
Within an hour of the announcement, however, the AI tool received more requests than it could handle. The tool started prompting, “Too many requests in queue, please try again later.”
Bicasso helps users turn “creative visions into NFTs with AI,” CZ said. Users have to simply upload an image and enter a few “magic words” or keywords describing their vision, and Bicasso will produce an AI-generated NFT. It is similar to AI art generators, where AIs can come up with paintings that represent your vision. The beta version of Bicasso is limited to 10,000 NFT mints only.
Some users shared images of the NFTs after they finished minting with Bicasso. But more complained about the AI tool being congested. CZ said that the AI is “busy” because it is single-threaded and the team is working on reducing the congestion.
